Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja denies being arrested for flouting Covid-19 rules
Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja has denied being arrested and spending the night at Kilimani Police Station.
Taking to his Twitter account, Senator Sakaja has told those insinuating his arrest should provide an OB number to back their claims.
His tweet eliciting many reactions, with Kenyans condemning him for contravening the regulations set by the government, seeing that he is the chairperson for senate adhoc committee on covid-19.
Police say they arrested Sakaja while he was drinking at a local club along Dennis Pritt Road in Kilimani.
He was arrested alongside three others.
The incident took place at about 2 AM.
He has however been set free.
