Five Nandi County Government officers charged with graft in 12 million shillings roads tender

Five officers from the Nandi Couty Government have been released on a 500,000 shillings fine or a surety of 1 million shillings, after they pleaded not guilty to seven counts of corruption.

Appearing before Eldoret Senior Magistrate Linus Kassan, Henry Koech, Meshack Tankoi, Wilson Yebei, Leah Chelagat and Henry Kirui were alleged to have on unknown dates between 19th February 2014 and May 9th 2020, issued a tender worth 12 million shillings for a road construction project against the law.

The case will be mentioned on the 11th of August.
