Assessment for leaners in grade four and class eight begins today


Leaners in grade four and class eight across the country will from today sit the Kenya Kenya National Examination assessment test.

The four-day assessment which was to start on Monday was pushed to Wednesday due to the Mashujaa day celebrations.

According to the calendar released by the examination body, grade four leaners will be assessed for four days while standard eight assessments will be done in three days.

Today Grade four leaners will be assessed on English learning, speaking and reading aloud for ten minutes per learner.

According to the guidelines, Special needs learners will be tested for 15 minutes each in the English prelistening aloud, speaking and reading aloud.

Those with hearing impairment will be assessed on English Observation and signing and English reading.
