Africa’s management of COVID19 gets nod from CDC

The head of the Africa Centres for Disease Control has praised African states for managing to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

Africa CDC head John Nkengasong said interventions played a crucial role in curbing the spread of the virus.

He however described as false suggestions that cases and deaths in Africa are significantly under-reported.

Africa has seen about 1.4 million cases, 1.2 million recoveries and 34,587 deaths since February.
